The Norwegian aquaculture industry reported no damage after a battering from storm Elsa this weekend, however, transportation and logistics proved difficult.

The operations of several ferries were suspended. The storm also wreaked havoc with air traffic, with five Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flights having to return to their departure airports over the weekend, and several Wideroe planes having to cancel flights due to low air pressure on Monday morning.

Forecasters in the country issued red warnings about high seas in Trondelag - western Norway - and Agder on Monday evening.
