Nutreco-owned aquaculture feed giant Skretting merged its seafood nutrition operations into one division, and named Global Salmon and Fish Feed Southern Europe Director Therese Log Bergjord to head up the group, Nutreco CEO Knut Nesse told IntraFish.
The move, made official Oct. 1, brings 20 individual companies in the group under the single unit, Nesse said, bringing renewed focus on its global operations.
Within the past seven years, the group has shifted the makeup of its production from being focused 80 percent on the salmon sector to today's mix of around 55 percent, with the remainder being made up of supplies of other species.
