Singaporean seafood company Oceanus Group said Wednesday its R&D arm, Oceanus Tech entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with James Cook University's Singapore campus to further aquaculture research as technology partners.

The two plan to research "technology and sustainable science-and-evidence farming practices," said Oceanus Tech CEO Matthew Tan.

Under the MoU terms, they will exchange aquaculture R&D ideas, particularly in the areas relating to genetics, husbandry and aquatic animal health.
