While the coroanvirus outbreak continues to result in market disruptions and travel bans across the world, Scottish salmon producers are riding out the storm with crisis measures, including keeping fish in the water for longer.

The Scottish Salmon Producers Organization (SSPO) has been working closely with the Scottish and UK government and environmental regulators, said Hamish Macdonell, director of strategic engagment for the SSPO. The group is looking at measures to give members "more flexibility in dealing with these market disruptions."
