Scottish salmon producers exported a record amount of fresh fish to the European Union in the first quarter of 2021, totalling 19,410 metric tons worth more than £100 million (€116.1 million/$140.6 million).

This is an increase of 74 percent, or more than 8,200 metric tons, compared with the same period in 2020, according to the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation (SSPO).
