After nearly 30 years of ups and downs, the Chilean salmon industry is finally back, witnessing its “best performance ever” over the past few years, according to Arturo Clement, president of SalmonChile.

Low mortality rates combined with lower feed conversion (FCR) rates, higher smolt yields and reductions in antibiotic use means the industry has seen some of its best results in the past three years.
