Salmon production will play a key role in helping to lead Chile's post COVID-19 economic rebound, SalmonChile President Arturo Clement wrote in a column posted on the trade body's website.
"Today, we face the challenge of projecting a social and economic revival that requires the talent and effort of all," Clement said.
"In this scenario, the salmon industry expects to play a fundamental role, since during 2019 it managed to position itself in second place, after mining, among Chile's best-selling products abroad."
