Several major salmon feed suppliers are under investigation by Chilean competition authorities, in what appears to be an inquiry into possible collusion.
“We are aware of the matter in Chile, we know there are inquiries by the Chilean regulators into the feed sector," Hanne Dankertsen, communications manager at Cargill, confirmed to IntraFish.
“We are in contact with them, they are seeking information from us and we are cooperating fully.”
But Cargill is not the only company being looked into and the investigation involves the whole feed industry in Chile.
