Salmon farming and processing group Mowi has reported a suspected case of infectious salmon anemia (ISA) at a farm in northern Norway.

Mowi division Jokelfjord flagged up the potential infection at its Storvika site, located in the Dyroy municipatily in the Troms and Finnmark region, to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority on Tuesday after tests at a third-party lab.

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority will inspect the facility and conduct follow-up tests, after which Norway's Veterinary Institute can confirm the finding.
