Norwegian salmon farming company SalMar said Wednesday it has upped its stake in Icelandic salmon farmer Arnarlax.
SalMar said it has received acceptances for 2,343,511 shares in Arnarlax, representing approximately 8.8 percent of the shares in the company.
SalMar already holds 14,432,281 shares in Arnarlax, and following settlement of Wednesday share sale, it will hold 16,775,792 shares, or approximately 63.03 percent of the company.
