SalMar-owned Icelandic salmon farmer Arnarlax has signed a letter of intent with a local municipality to build an 80,000-metric-ton high-tech processing plant in Iceland's Westfjords region.

Arnarlax intends to build the new plant in Vatnseyri in Patreksfjordur, and the facility will employ around 100 people.
