SalMar-owned Icelandic salmon farmer, Arnarlax is changing its name to Icelandic Salmon, the company announced Friday in a statement to the Norwegian OTC (NOTC) marketplace.

At an extraordinary general meeting held Oct.8, the company elected Leif Inge Nordhammer -- who was formerly CEO of SalMar for 17 years -- as a new board member.

The meeting also granted the board of directors authorization to increase the company's share capital by up to NOK 53,228,080 ($5.7 million/€4.9 million) by the issuance of up to 5,322,808 new shares, it said.

NOTC is a marketplace for unlisted shares and is owned by Oslo Bors.
