Atle Eide, the chairman of Norwegian salmon farming giant SalMar, -- formerly the CEO of the group that would eventually become Mowi-- is not seeking re-election as chairman and will resign from his post at the company's general meeting on June 8.

Former SalMar CEO Leif Inge Nordhammer is poised to take his place as chairman, the company announced.

"After a thorough assessment, the committee has come to a recommendation where Leif Inge Nordhammer replaces Atle Eide as chairman of the board," said Nomination Committee Chairman Bjorn Wiggen.
