Russian agricultural company AgriVolga began construction of a new land-based trout farm in the Yaroslavl region on May 14, the first move into aquaculture for the organic giant.

The new operation, Rybinskoe More, is planned to begin operating in mid-2023, with the first sales expected in the the first half of 2024.

The new facility will be 3,900 square meters, including a production area equipped with two recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) for full-sized growout as well as smolt production.
