Regal Springs Mexico expects to triple its annual production by 2025, and aims to sell 50 percent of production in domestic markets by that time, Leopoldo Montoya, CEO at Regal Springs Mexico told IntraFish.
In 2015, the company produced 25,400 metric tons of tilapia, and it expects to close 2016 with a total production of 27,000 to 28,000 metric tons.
By 2025, the company is expecting hit 70,000 metric tons a year, of which 35,000 would go to domestic markets.
These plans are only viable due to an increase of concessions, however.
