Private equity firm Ocean 14 Capital has just made its third official investment by creating a new company in the bivalves sector.

The investor has merged one Dutch company and two Italian companies - Societa Agricola Ecotapes Italia, Delta Futuro Societa Agricola and Ecotapes Zeeland - to create a clam breeding and hatchery group called Mito.

Ocean 14 Capital invested €3.8 million ($3.8 million) for a minority stake in the newly formed group, Ocean 14 Capital’s co-founder and Chief Investment Officer Francisco Saraiva Gomes told IntraFish.
