Philippines tilapia producers have lost around 6,000 cages and incurred losses of around PHP 1.6 billion (€28.2 million/$31.4 million) as a result of the ongoing volcanic eruption in Lake Taal, reports ABS-CBN News.
Philippines President Rodgrigo Duterte on Tuesday distributed an initial PHP 160 million (€2.8 million/$3.1 million) to farmers and fishermen in Batangas, according to a Facebook post.
