Pacifico Aquaculture has hired Guy Lott for its newly created vice president of sales role, the company said Monday.

Lott has been hired to expand the Pacifico brand into US stores, said the company's co-CEO Daniel Farag of the hire.

Most recently, Lott was vice president of sales for North America with Regal Springs Tilapia, the world’s largest vertically integrated tilapia company. Previous to Regal Springs, Lott held a leadership position with Harvest Select and worked as a chef and restaurateur. In addition to his professional roles, Lott currently sits on the board of the National Fisheries Institute, is a fellow in the American Academy of Chefs, and a member of the Alabama Seafood Marketing Commission.

Lott joins Denver-based Senior Sales Manager Chris Cumming, along with a new logistics manager, two sales managers, a culinary specialist and brand ambassador, and a customer service manager.

The company has expanded since it was acquired by private equity firm Butterfly in 2018.

“Since investing in Pacifico we’ve proudly supported the company as it’s forged a new path in the industry, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the customer reception and excitement around the product,” said Butterfly Equity Co-Founder and Co-CEO Dustin Beck. “With the continued growth of the sales team, the company is poised to continue its rapid trajectory towards nationwide adoption of its True Ocean Raised Striped Bass.”

Founded in 2010 and based in Baja California, Mexico, Pacifico produces ocean-raised striped bass. Pacifico said it harvest 4,000 metric tons of striped bass currently.
