While Norway’s Directorate of Fisheries has finished processing the first 104 applications for development permits it received, it is still working its way through those who have appealed an initial rejection.

Of the 104, a total of 82 applications for development permits were rejected, of which 12 chose not to appeal the decision from the Directorate of Fisheries.

From the remainder, 36 complaints about refusals have been processed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry - while 34 cases remain.
