Norwegian salmon company NTS has voted against a proposed capital raising which would make it possible for its subsidiary Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) to buy fellow salmon company SalmoNor.

On Thursday morning, NRS – in which NTS owns 68 percent – held an extraordinary general meeting to vote on a capital injection of up to NOK 2.2 billion (€229 million/$250 million) which NRS would use to partly finance the acquisition of SalmoNor.
