Vertically integrated Norwegian salmon producer SinkabergHansen kicked off the construction of Svaberget Smolt, a land-based recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) hatchery.

The total investment will amount to NOK 600 million, and the project will be delivered by 2022.

The company plans to produce around 2,000 metric tons after the completion of phase one of constructions.

The whole project is expected to take around 28 months and by the end of it, the company would have made jobs available for between 80 to 100 candidates.
