Norwegian salmon farmer Lingalaks reported a one-meter tear in a groove on site in Hardangerfjord, Norway earlier this month, resulting in a small escape. Around 10 salmon have been fished, with an average size of 3.5 kilograms.

The tear occurred when the fish in the facility were to be defrosted, Lingalaks General Manager Kristian Botnen told IntraFish, with the company looking to catch the fish as soon as the tear was discovered. Lingalaks also has an agreement with fishermen who contribute catch if they discover anything.
