Norwegian land-based salmon farmer Andfjord Salmon has been given the green light to develop a facility at Breivik, Andoya, in Norway.

The Andoy municipality council approved the zoning plan application on June 13.

Andfjord Salmon intends to develop and build a land-based fish farming facility at Breivik, targeting a production volume of 25,000 metric tons.

"We are really pleased that Andoy municipality continues to demonstrate its support to local job and value creation here at Andoya," said Martin Rasmussen, CEO of Andfjord Salmon.
