Norwegian farmed salmon prices retreat slightly but still at record high levels

Norwegian farmed salmon prices are retreating a little this week as sales slowed during the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, but prices are still at extremely high levels.

A Polish salmon importer told IntraFish that prices have dropped by €1 ($1) over the last two days.

“I do not know why the prices are so much down, but there has suddenly been more superior quality on the market, and there are still some unsold salmon from last Friday,” she said.
