Norwegian cod farmer Statt Torsk suffered an unexplained, sudden mortality event at one of its facilities over the weekend.
It is not yet clear the reasons behind the incident that caused mortality in two out of three pens at the company's Stokkeneset facility, or how many fish have died, CEO Gustave Brun-Lie told IntraFish.
"We have some ideas, but nothing is conclusive yet and we are working as fast as we can to get clarity on the situation," he said.
