Norway exported smolt worth millions to Russia over the last three months

Exports continued to take place after Russia banned the importation of food from the EU and Norway in 2014 in response to the annexation of Crimea. The import ban did not apply to fish feed and live fish and smolt.

It is not yet clear how overall 2022 figures will end up as there are still two more months of smolt export left, Seafood Council's Paul T. Aandahl said.
