Norway continues to export salmon smolt to Russia, despite the country's invasion of neighboring Ukraine in February.

Norway exported salmon smolt worth NOK 125 million (€12.2 million/$12.2 million) and trout smolt worth NOK 23 million (€2.2 million/$2.2 million) to Russia between April and June.

However, overall smolt exports to Russia have fallen significantly year to date.

Salmon smolt exports to Russia were down NOK 17 million (€1.7 million/$1.7 million) and trout smolt exports slipped NOK 14 million (€1.4 million/$1.4 million), compared with the same period last year, according to the Norwegian Seafood Council.
