Nordic Aquafarms, which is planning a massive land-based salmon farm in Belfast, Maine, is bringing in several former employees of Inter Aqua Advance (IAA), a Danish company that has served the recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) industry over many years.
IAA declared bankruptcy at the end of August and Nordic Aquafarms was among its customers.
Nordic Aquafarms said it did not have any active IAA delivery contracts when the bankruptcy was announced, which means it had no economic exposure.
