Nordic Aquafarms' land-based salmon farm in California has cleared another legal challenge for its site that is expected to produce 27,000 metric tons of salmon annually when operational.

This week the Humboldt County’s Board of Supervisors met to consider an appeal filed by three local organizations regarding the recent certification of the project's Environmental Impact Report (EIR). After more than six hours of discussion, board of supervisors voted to uphold the Humboldt County Planning Commission’s decision to certify the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the project.
