Norwegian smolt producer Ecomerden is increasing the dimensions of its smolt salmon cages and adding water intake filtration systems to the cage's floating collar, the company said.
“The results from the pilot phase of post-smolt production of up to one kilo has gone extremely well," said Jan Erik Kyrkjebo, Ecomerden’s managing director.
"During the production period we discovered the potential for various improvements, and following those findings we will have these improvements implemented in the next version of the Ecomerden."
