Global biopharmaceutical company Merck Animal Health -- known as MSD Animal Health outside the United States and Canada -- is acquiring Ireland-based IdentiGEN, a DNA-tracing company for livestock and aquaculture, from MML Growth Capital Partners Ireland.
IdentiGEN’s technology combines unique DNA with data analytics to provide an evidence-based animal traceability solution, called DNA TraceBack.
The system is able to accurately trace beef, seafood, pork and poultry from farm-to-table.
