Salmon farmer Mowi threatened the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with legal action over delays related to the company's license application, reported The Independent.

According to the publication, Mowi applied for a revised farming license for its site in Co Donegal in 2006, then later again in 2014, but the application still hasn't been processed.

In a letter, claimed to be have been read by The Independent, Mowi asks the agency to move forward within eight weeks to public and statutory confirmation, as well as provide reasons for the lengthy delay.
