The Federal Court of Canada has granted an injunction that will allow Mowi Canada West to transfer $26 million (€21.9 million) worth of fish to its Phillips Arm site as part of its Discovery Islands phaseout by next year.
Canada's Fisheries Minister Bernadette Jordan had previously prohibited Mowi from transferring or introducing any fish within British Columbia's Discovery Islands, putting 78 employees at immediate risk of layoffs, according Mowi.
