The Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet) on Monday confirmed the presence of infectious salmon anemia (ISA) at a site in Southern Norway.

The salmon farming giant notified Mattilsynet on Nov. 7 that ISA was detected at its Kjeahola site in Finnoy, in the Rogaland region after first analyzing the results.

The site has been quarantined, and Mattilsynet has cautioned anyone in the area to use extreme care to avoid spreading the disease.
