Mowi Canada East director optimistic about salmon farming's future in Newfoundland

The company aims to expand in Atlantic Canada with British Columbia planning to end netpen salmon farming by 2029.

Gideon Pringle, Mowi Canada East's managing director, said Newfoundland harvested around 15,000 metric tons of salmon in 2023. Mowi harvested 6,000 metric tons of that amount, Pringle later told IntraFish.
