Mowi's southern Norway division (Mowi South) has yet to find a better solution than cleaner fish in its battle to control sea lice, which annually costs the global industry close to $1 billion (€893 million).
Production Manager Bernhard Ostebovik at Mowi South told IntraFish sister publication Tekfisk he does not believe other measures will help in the near future.
"In Southern Norway, we think that cleaner fish are the only realistic solution to the lice challenge in the next 5 to 7 years.
