Norwegian salmon giant Mowi almost doubled its operational earnings in the first quarter of 2022 as farmed salmon prices continued at high levels during the start of the year.
In a trading update, the group said operational earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) was approximately €207 million ($224.2 million), up 90 percent compared with €109 million ($118.1 million) in the same period a year ago.
The blended farming cost per kilo harvested was €4.77
