The managing director of Aquascot, a dedicated Scottish salmon supplier to upscale retailer Waitrose, has left the company, an official at the Ross-shire-based firm confirmed.
Niall MacDonald joined Aquascot from Tullis Russel in 2016, where he was managing director of that company's premium paper and board division.
"Niall has stood down in his role as MD and we will be appointing a new MD in coming weeks, so he is no longer with the company," the official told IntraFish.
"It was a personal decision to move on."
Aquascot expects to begin recovering financially after a few years of shaky financial results.
