Marine Harvest Scotland reported the escape of 24,752 Atlantic salmon from its Scottish Hellisay site.
In a notification to the Scottish authorities, Marine Harvest reported the escape, occurred Nov. 11, of fish aged 19 months with an average weight of 1.1 kilograms.
The company said the cause of the escape was a hole in the net, and that it had not recovered any fish.
