Sterling White Halibut General Manager Magnus Skretting has left the company, according to Norwegian newspaper Aftenbladet.

Skretting, who has championed halibut farming for years, has left to "try something new," Sterling White Halibut Chairman Jan Kurt Johnsen said.

Mowi owned the halibut operation until 2016, when it was sold to the company Tec Con Holding. The group has turned a profit since being under the new ownership, and plans to increase production from 1,500 metric tons to 5,000 metric tons.
