Ron Stotish, current chief technology officer and former CEO of genetically modified (GM) salmon producer AquaBounty, will retire effective June 30, the company announced.
Earlier this month, The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lifted an import alert on the company's GM salmon eggs, paving the way for AquaBounty to produce and sell its GM salmon in the US market.
Stotish has been with the company in various roles for the past 13 years.
