Norwegian salmon giant Lerøy Seafood Group collaborated with Sunnfjord Energi and BKK to electrify aquaculture sites in Hordaland.

The works supported by Enova will transform diesel generators in Lerøy Sjøtroll to electrical generators as a start to shift all the group's operations to being more sustainable.

"Lerøy Sjøtroll's ambition is to spend around NOK 50 million (€5.1 million/$5.8 million) on electrifying 24 aquaculture sites over the next few years," General Manager Nina Møgster said.
