Federal development group Innovation Norway gave out NOK 60 million (€6.1 million/$6.7 million) in grants and loans to 47 land-based applications in 2019.

Two aquaculture companies, Bulandet Miljofisk and Andfjord Salmon, were the largest recipients of grant money.

Bulandet Miljofisk received NOK 20 million (€2 million/$2.2 million) to test its land-based aquaculture concept, with flow-through facilities at Bulandet, Askvoll. The pilot site is expected to be ready this month.
