Norwegian land-based farmer Salmon Evolution announced the successful completion of its third smolt release at its Indre Haroy facility on Thursday.
The release comprised approximately 200,000 smolt with an average weight of around 220 grams each. The operation went according to plan and the fish is already responding well to feeding, the Dongwon and Cargill-backed company noted.
At the beginning of the second quarter, Salmon Evolution announced it had raised another NOK 300 million (€30 million/$30 million) from a private placement to back expansion plans and to fund the second phase of its Indre Haroy, Norway, facility.
