Land-based salmon farmer Andfjord Salmon is teaming up with Skretting Norway and Sortland-based Calanus for a specifically designed salmon feed.
The land-based producer said it will become the first salmon farmer in the world to use a commercially developed feed that contains calanus, otherwise known as zooplankton.
The feed, sold by Calnus under the Zooka brand name, also contains algae oil as an alternative to marine fish oil.
