Publicly listed Norway Royal Salmon is under suspicion of an infectious salmon anemia (ISA) outbreak at its Store Kvalfjord and Store Kufjord sites, according to a notification submitted to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.

The agency is planning an inspection of the plant and will carry out tests to confirm the disease. Results are expected next week.

Everyone who travels in the area and engages in activities related to fish farming must show due care to avoid the spread of any disease, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority said.
