Cermaq Chile said the ISA virus has been detected at its Ensenada Rys site in the southern Magallanes region of the South American nation.

“There has been no signs of disease or elevated mortality,” the company said in a statement.

Cermaq said it will manage the situation in close cooperation with Sernapesca.

All sites across Chile are sampled for ISA on a monthly basis. Further tests will be conducted in the coming days.
