Salmon giant Mowi could lay off dozens of workers after being forced to harvest its Fjellbukt site and if Norwegian authorities move ahead with closure of a larger area because of the presence of ISA, reports Framtid i Nord.

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority confirmed the presence of the bacteria on July 4, and asked the company to harvest the site. In addition, it drew a containment area where the company could not farm salmon to avoid spreading the disease.
