The Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture said Monday it detected infectious salmon anemia (ISA) at a Mowi Newfoundland site containing nearly 23,000 fish.
The detection, which has not yet been confirmed positive, was at Mowi's Little Burdock Cove facility, which in 2021 also suffered an ISA incident that impacted over 482,000 fish.
Currently under quarantine, the one pen at Little Burdock contains approximately 22,891 fish at an average weight of 2.6
