The presence of Infectious Salmon Anemia (ISA) has been confirmed at a site owned by Cultivos Yadran in Chile's southern Aysen region, Chile's National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca) said.

The company, which was notified by the authority on Jan. 21 of the suspected presence of ISA, has been ordered to remove fish from an affected cage at the Melchor 716 site.

Sernapesca has placed a surveillance ring around the site under protocols aimed at preventing the spread of the disease.
