Sea and Believe, an Irish foodtech startup, has raised money to develop whole cod fillets, according to the Irish Business Post.
The company has secured commitments for over half of its planned $3 million (€2.8 million) fundraise.
It is developing a range of plant-based seafood, including a plant-based whole cod fillet that will flake like real fish.
Global venture capital firm SOSV is among the backers. SOSV focuses on investments in early stage startups.
